Rothschild, the leading international investment bank, has named Dr. Yılmaz Argüden as its representative in Türkiye. Argüden, a leading strategist, advisor and independent board member of several prominent companies, has been serving as a senior advisor to Rothschild since 2005.
Family-controlled Rothschild is a leading international investment bank with over 200 years of banking expertise and has more than 3,000 employees in 25 offices around the world. Having already developed an active presence in the Turkish mergers and acquisitions market, Rothschild recently served as advisor to the Turkish government on privatization options for Turk Telecom, the merger of Aycell and Aria, and the sale of Telsim.
Rothschild also advised the Çolakoğlu family in selling part of their shares in Türk Ekonomi Bank to BNP Paribas, and to GE Consumer Finance in its purchase of shares of Garanti Bank, and more recently to Dexia on its acquisition of Denizbank.

Argüden has broad experience in business. As chairman of a leading management consulting firm, ARGE, he has been advising key institutions on business strategy, management quality, and corporate structuring. He led the Turkish privatization program in its initial stages and served as the chief economic advisor to the prime minister.
Argüden is also an adjunct professor of business strategy at Bosphorus University and at the MBA program of Koç University. He also writes a column focusing on business and strategy issues. As chairman of the Turkish Quality Association (Kalder), he promoted the TQM philosophy, and as chairman of the Turkish-American Business Council and the Turkish-Canadian Business Council he has been a leader in developing bilateral business relations.
He is a founding member of the Turkish Economic and Social Studies Foundation (TESEV) and the Turkish Education Volunteers Foundation (TEGV) and an Eisenhower Fellow. In 1999 Argüden was selected by the World Economic Forum as a ‘Global Leader for Tomorrow’ for his commitment to improving the state of the world.
