Dr. Argüden has been instrumental in the establishment of the Corporate Volunteers Association to encourage individuals with management experience contribute their time on a voluntary basis to NGOs who adopt good governance principles. Also, companies participating in this endeavor commit to evaluate these voluntary contributions by their employees in their annual performance reviews, and also publicly share the amount of voluntary work by their employees as well.
Dr. Argüden has led an effort to establish an Award Scheme, Corporate Volunteers Awards to promote effectiveness, innovation, and structural approach in corporate volunteerism.
40+ Companies Assumed Responsibility to Further Develop the Vocational Training Program
Vocational Training Program developed by Koç Holding in 2006 is transferred to Corporate Volunteers Association for mobilizing broader support in 2012. Within the project, vocational school students receive mentoring from corporate volunteers.
Best Volunteer University Project: GOV101
Argüden Governance Academy Youth Network’s GOV101 Training Program—built entirely on voluntary participation—has been awarded the Best Volunteer University Project at the 18th Corporate Volunteer Awards, organized by the Private Sector Volunteers Association (December 10th, 2025).
