Dr. Argüden has been selected as the member of Private Sector Advisory Group (PSAG) of the IFC. The World Bank and the IFC are providing corporate governance support to clients and stakeholders and utilize the practical experience of global thought leaders through PSAG.
The PSAG brings together international leaders of the private sector whose shared goal is to help developing countries improve their corporate governance. Through the PSAG, IFC is able to bring the practical experience of the international private sector to bear upon the issues and challenges facing corporate governance. PSAG members participate in many IFC activities, providing counsel on new strategies and sharing their practical experiences with the Forum’s global networks. Their efforts include involvement in IFC’s international consultations, publications, practical guides and toolkits, and capacity-building programs.
Succeeding Ira M. Millstein (Chairman Emeritus of the PSAG), Peter Dey was appointed as Chair. PSAG members include globally recognized governance experts such as Christian Strenger (Vice-Chair), Dr. Yılmaz Argüden, Prof. David Beatty, George S. Dallas, Jesus P. Estanislao, Bengt Hallqvist, Prof. Mervyn E. King, Nell Minow, Mark Mobius, John Plender, Robert C. Pozen, Anita Skipper, John D. Sullivan.
